At St. George’s Anglican Church in Devon, we follow Jesus Christ with reverence, curiosity, and hope. As part of the Anglican Church of Canada and the worldwide Anglican Communion, our faith is rooted in Scripture, formed by tradition, and lived out in community.

We believe that:

  • Ritual and ceremony are central to our faith. Anglican worship is expressed not only in words, but in movement, prayer, symbols, Scripture, and the beauty of sacred action.

  • The sacraments sustain us. Through Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, and other sacramental moments, we encounter God’s grace in real and tangible ways.

  • The church year guides us. Seasons such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost shape our worship, helping us enter deeply into the life of Christ through meaningful rituals and ceremonies.

  • Faith grows in community. We learn, pray, question, and celebrate together. Everyone’s spiritual journey is honoured.

  • God’s love is for all. We welcome people of every background, identity, age, and experience. Whoever you are and wherever you are on your journey, you have a place here.

Sacraments, Rituals & Life Ceremonies

Ritual and ceremony are an important part of who we are as Anglicans. Throughout the year, we celebrate:

  • Regular sacramental worship. (Holy Communion every Sunday)

  • Ceremonies of the church year. (Advent wreath lighting, Blue Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter Vigil, Harvest Thanksgiving, All Souls, and more)

  • Life’s sacred milestones. marked with prayer, compassion, and dignity

At St. George’s Anglican Church, we are honoured to walk with individuals and families through every major milestone of faith and life. Whether you are seeking baptism, confirmation, a wedding, or planning a funeral or memorial service, our church community is here to offer guidance, compassion, and a sacred space to mark these moments with dignity and love.
